You could do it that way. What I usually did for a V8 conversion is this. I found heap at the junkyard that had that year motor in it. I towed it home and swapped out all the stuff I needed from it. A little labor intensive but it's cheaper than buying a custom conversion kit.

Im guessing that its a daytona? I dont know what youre trying to wire, as pretty much nothing will work from one engine to the next, but I do know a few guys who have put a V8 into a daytona at DodgeForum.com.
