The situation does seem bleak with the whole world seemingly against the United States and its misguided foreign policy objectives. However, I have faith in the resilience of this country, and I have a firm belief in the fortitude of the American people to emerge triumphant from our mistakes, no matter how injurious they may seem now.
We are the same country that broke the back of slavery and discrimination within our borders; we are the same people that regained the trust of the world after the callous bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and we were still considered the greatest country in the world, by most foreigners even after the Vietnam travesty.
Our nation will reap the pain of our current malaise for sometime, but America will come back. As nations go, we are the Rocky Balboa of the world. We might get knocked down, but we are not down for the count.

WE ARE NOT ATTACKING NIGERIA.
Shh, little secret: The 9/11 myths that say the government is involved have been busted more times than Michael Vick at airport security. Don't tell anybody...
---
Now that that's out of the way I'll say this: Military options should ALWAYS be on the table, but should never be the first choice. While I think Bush is a little trigger happy and would chose military quicker than most Presidents, I also think he's still look for other options first.
I wouldn't say we'd be doomed. However it'd be quite the challenge (at least if we were still in Iraq at the same time). I would rather see a peaceful ending to this issue, but that's not for us to decide, it's for Amedinjad (sp?) to decide. He's given us peaceful resolutions (which I think was dumb we didn't accept), but at the same time he's not a leader to be trusted.

Nigeria!! I didn't hear that,
9/11 was an attack not a failure
Afghanistan, the Taliban is out, how is that a failure
Iraq juries still out but if the politicians and civilians would keep there noses out and let us do our thing we'll win
Don't know of any plan to attack Iran but one can dream
and I haven't heard anything about Nigeria

Humanist,
9/11 was cause from Slick Willie did not have the balls to take on Islam Fascism.
Afghanistan was cause to the Islam Fascism giving refuge to one of their own. This is sponsor by Saudis money.
Iraq violates the conditions for cease fire and Saddam playing games about having weapons of mass destruction.
Iran is not in the next 5 years because our troops are over extended.
Nigeria, the slave country is another issue that I write up will run out of type space.

As long as we the people have some voice AND USE IT we can strive for better leaders and times. It's within our grasp but need to research anyone running this country in the future w/o relying on big $$ campaigns. There are a few who stand for border security find out which ones suit your concerns and be an activist.

Nigeria?! Bush would be a fool to attack any country w/o being provoked. Iran has almost as nutty a president as we do, but I think/hope he'll be long gone before we make a move.

We won't attack Iran unless they really push the matter, like continue to arm and train the insurgences in Iraq.
They think they can get away with their plans but we can flaten them from the air in a matter of days.
Niggeria, doubtful.
In Iraq, we're fighting terrorists from all over, all of whom want to rule the country.

I think you're CRAZY! Oh my God... You think the 3,000 deaths on 9/11 and the 3,000+ deaths of soldiers in Iraq is bad?
It could be worse, and a lot worse. Why do democrats always fear the end, doom, Armageddon, or whatever. I'm thinking you all just want it to end so you no longer have to deal with life.
SUICIDAL... They have pills to make you feel better.

Sounds like we are pretty successfull at making wars.
Someone is doing something right for themselves at least and I do not think no matter the outcomes they will be doomed to poverty or fear retribution in future.
One of these days we are going to run out of poor unarmed nations to attack but until then they who are running the show are having a field day and profiting mightily.
