Hobson's choice. It would be such a waste of the talent available if England don't qualify, and yet the current manager looks unable to create a team from those individuals. I would not be surprised if they fail to qualify based on recent performances, and if it means a more qualified, better experienced manager (regardless of nationality) then so be it. I'm sure Scolari would have made more of the resources.

How about qualify for the finals, then get rid of McClaren, and have a new manager who is more qualified and understands that you cant play Lampard and Gerrard on the same team.

Simply because England gets rid of Macca doesn't mean the FA well appoint a GOOD manager. The last two managers selected were two terrible decisions by the FA, so I lack trust for their ability to select a good manager.
