No, he just gets in the way of the Essien-Lampard partnership. Also, he is just a Mercenary. He goes for the money. I can't blame him, but I love Chelsea. I like him a lil, but I thought his purchase was overkill. Maybe he is just helping to school Obi-Mikel ;D

He will be much better after he has had a year under his belt. A new team in a new country were he doesn't speak the language very well. I would be hard for any one to adjust.
