You just made one BIG move...give it a year and then try to make another BIG move. He probably isn't settled completely into the house and is probably feeling the crunch of the money from the house and doesn't want to jump to something else. He also probably feels like he can't do enough to make you happy. Tell him how happy he makes you at least once a week and see how your relationship changes!

hi kelly,
i am a girl but sometimes i think like a guy. So you guys only just bought a house, bills, feeding a baby, buying baby things, more money gone, you lost a baby, hard to not think it may happen again, those are thing he seems worried about. The fact that you guys have been together for five years, now that doesn't make having a baby an advantage or a down statment.
Maybe you should think adout a little more and tak it up with him again. Expresse to him that this is what you really want and that your ready for kid. But maybe he isn't ready for kids. So take it easy on him! Good Luck, hope you get what you want!!!!!!!!!

Most of these answers are good, although judging him based on one (im sure) stressed out statement is not right. I wouldnt think its "you" per sae, since you just purchased a house together. Just pick a calm moment and talk about it, amongst other things. Children are expensive these days and also there is a great deal of responsibility that goes along with it. Not something to be taking lightly. You should both sit down and talk about it and come to a mutual decision on it,, not just blurt it out as if its something to be done on a whim. Good luck, remember communication is key in a "marriage"?

You poor soul! Tell me, does your man love to acquire new things. It is possible that he has so much that he is afraid to spend his money on something other than what he wants. If he is that selfish, please do the right thing. I am so sorry that you lost the baby. I have 5 kids and I love life. I would never ever get angry at the thought of someone wanting to have a child. Talk to him, there may be more amiss than meets the eye. Good luck.

Do you understand how expensive and irreversible having children is? It's very scary to a lot of guys. College, medical bills, etc- he said it the wrong way, but it's extremely stressful.

some people get nervous about having kids. they may not think they can be a good father or they are scared that they won't be able to keep them safe. He may think that he may lose another baby. just tell him that you want to take another shot at having kids.

You shouldn't even get pregnant til you're married... but I digress. The only one who can answer that question is him.
