Numbers that keep coming into your life..?

It's really weird. Everybody seems to have a special number that keeps appearing, it's quite spooky. Like my Mum, she used to work in the police and her number was "1111" and often at night when she looks at the clock it says 11:11... It keeps coming into her life in other ways too, like when she writes documents, the amount of words are 1111.

Why and how does this happen? Is it something phsycological? Or is is just sheer [and amazing] coincidence?

I think it's coincidence.

Also, as someone mentioned, you may have unintentionally trained yourself to "see" these numbers all the time.

My best example--I just got a new car. I never saw any cars like this car until I got it. Now that I have it, I see cars like it all the time. Coincedence? Did everyone just start buying that same car the same time I did?

Truth is, that car was probably there all along, but now that I own one, I notice them much more because my eye is trained to be attracted to that car.

I used to see 12:34 on the clock pretty frequently. It was just a coincedence that every time I looked it was that time. Nothing special!

It could have started out as a coincidence, as time goes on she may have accidentally trained herself subconsciously to look and play an active part in the numbers. The badge number was an important part of her life, so these numbers will have a special meaning to her, but it may be going a bit overboard so I suggest counseling by a professional..

People's brains ignore numbers that DO NOT form patterns. When a pattern is perceived, your brain calls attention to it. Therefore, you may be glancing at a clock every few minutes and not even realizing it. But, that one time you glance at it and it's on 11:11, you notice because you 'like' the pattern.
I think the same thing happens for the other situations you have described.

don't pass this off as simple coincidence or mind games.this exact thing happens to me and the time is 11:11. on November 11 (11/11) i was on yahoo ask and i was answering a question,at the bottom of the question i noticed the guy wrote 11:11 so i asked him what it meant, he also said he sees 11:11 all the time.but he didn't believe me that i do also, it was to weird to believe. so i pointed him to my previous questions that i asked on yahoo questions and one of them was why does this happen, he then pointed to his previous questions.his question was identical, word for word to my question.but the odd part. it was asked 11 days after i asked mine.i had thought maybe we were supposed to meet and he might have some info for me, but we were unable to find out what that info was.
maybe we are part of a special group,the chosen ones for something good or something evil. i do not know.i do not believe in god,or religion.i am trying to find an answer though, but i cannot ask the question.
do you have the answer for me.or a question that you are looking for the answer to.maybe i know it.
