Nancy Pelosi & Global Warming?

Nancy Pelosi has constantly said that she will do whatever she can to stop global warming and reverse its effects, so why does she want a brand new plane? (http://www.businessweek.com/ap/financialnews/D8MO0GKO0.htm)

The plane that she currently has is a Gulf Stream 5 which is perfect for one passenger who may sometimes bring along some passengers, but now she wants to upgrade to a Boeing 757! This plane has a crew of 16 people, 42 business class seats, costs $300,000 to operate on a one-way trip, and puts out over 1000 lbs. of carbon dioxide every hour.

If Pelosi really wants to stop global warming why doesn't she just rent an apartment is DC, that way she doesn't have to fly home for the weekend?

You should know by now that Democrats define the word hypocrite. They push agendas based on no fact whatsoever, they make outrageous claims about issues, and violate their own "policy" in their personal lives (Dianne Feinstein, the leading proponent of gun control, has a concealed carry permit).

WASHINGTON - The White House on Thursday defended House Speaker Nancy Pelosi against Republican criticism that her desire to fly in an Air Force transport plane is an extravagance.

“This is a silly story, and I think it’s been unfair to the speaker,” White House spokesman Tony Snow said.

Republicans are taking issue with the size of the plane Pelosi would need to fly in to reach her hometown of San Francisco without refueling. There are three Air Force airplanes that have the fuel capacity to make the trip nonstop, with the largest being a C-32 plane, a military version of the Boeing 757-200.

To repeat so many, Pelosi is a member of the 'ruling' class. It doesn't matter if they are Democrats or Republicans, the people who represent us in Washington are concerned about nothing but their own personal wealth and privledge. What we need is to sweep them all out, along with the special interest groups that feed their pockets, and replace them with everyday working Americans. That was the original intent of our forefathers, ... common sense has been replaced by political science degrees, and DC is just a haven for the rich and powerful elitists. Who, if anyone in working America can relate to these egotistical wannabe princes and princesses?

W'hen will Democrats realize that Princess Pelosi and all other children of the rich have no right to be in our party? They are all agents, or unconscious tools, of the right wing. Only a Mama's Boy who hates his father for not getting rich and spoiling him is swept under by the glitter of this fairy-tale class. Let them get cut off from their parents and live like the rest of us if they want to join the Populist Democratic Party as menial campaign workers, with no more chance at running for office than Democrats who were born in Middle America.

I don't know what any of the global warming alarmists are actually personally doing to address the issue. That's a great question. I wish a journalist would tackle this one and find out what kind of cars they drive and whether or not they have invested in solar heat for their homes, etc.
