I bought a new laptop with vista on it and it is the worst windows i have ever used. I am trying to load a usb cable and it wont load the drivers from the cd onto the laptop its finds the new hardwar the cable but when it ask you to load the driver for it it doesn't recongnize it. This does this on every program i try to load into this laptop. Any suggestions would be great.

I think its the laptop personally. I just got a brand new Dell Dimension E520 Desktop computer with Windows Vista Home Premium installed on it and it's the BEST Windows version I've ever seen!
Contact the manufacture and if they say it has nothing to do with them contact Microsoft.
Also the driver or hardware you're trying to install may not be compatible with the new Windows, check with the manufacture of the product to find out if it works with Vista

No problems with Vista.
Because I won't load it, and if I get a new comp with it on it, I'll uninstall it and put xp or 2000 on it.
Drivers and fix patches will slowly trickle out from Microsoft. I don't beta test software that I pay money for. Fortunately most people are suckers - and don't mind figuring out Microsofts f**kups for them.
Someday they may have an O/S worth loading.

check your compatabilities. vista won't work with everything. there is a compatability list on there vista web site.

anyone with any sense is waiting for service pack one, Microsoft do their product testing by releasing and then solving the problems, so no-one who knows buys it until they have sorted out the initial flaws.
