The three most aggressive and dangerous shark species: great white, tiger and bull sharks. These species are the most deadly for several reasons:

They are widespread.
They are large enough that humans can look like prey to them.
They are so powerful that the initial bite can cause fatal damage.
They are at the top of the food chain, which means they're not instinctively afraid of anything.

However, other shark species aren't completely innocent. Sand tigers, hammerheads, and makos are also responsible for some attacks, while a third of shark attacks are made by lesser known species, such as black tips, nurse sharks, and various reef sharks. Overall, the bull shark may be the most dangerous species because of its aggressive attack patterns and its preferred habitat - shallow coastal waters.

charcharodon megladon is probably the king of sharks. Gigantic and probably fairly aggressive.

Today, most people would say the great white (relative of the megladon). I say the bull shark. They are big and a bit nastier.

Now, there was a shark researcher one time that I heard that said that he felt that lemon sharks were the most dangerous because of their demeanor. They don't get gigantic but they get big enough to kill a person.

In any event, sharks are not that dangerous. Yes, if you were swimming and encountered one there might be trouble. However, that can be said for all sorts of animals. If you encounter an elephant in the wild, you stand a fairly good chance of getting killed.

Obviously, the Great White Shark. In terms of number of attacks, the Tiger shark.

I'm fairly certain that tiger sharks are involved in the most attacks today. They're very aggressive, large enough to do alot of damage, and will eat just about anything.
