what does it mean when, a guy texts you loads everytime he is out in town to meet up but then, once you have met up, you dont hear from him for a while and he ignores your texts but then, after a while when you give up on him, he contacts you again like normal???
this has been going on for years!!!!even when i was with my ex this would happen. (i never met up with him when i was with my ex).
does he really like me???
me have a great time when we are together. he always wants to be with me and compliments me. he always makes conversation.
hes 29 and single.
i havent slept with him. i have been abit of a tease tho by staying over his place.
i really really like him!!
he knows i came out of a 7 year relationship 8 months ago. he knows i ended it. he did know my ex.

In my experience, most guys do love the chase. They are all geared up to take advantage of those who make themselves too readily available. My present husband of 18 years used to do similar things, but via the old fashioned telephone call and by dropping in at my work or home every blue moon. Finally, I moved to another state and he came and found me and begged for my hand in marriage. I said "yes" and here I sit, he's snoring in my bed at this very minute, 18 years later. Maybe that guy just needs to wonder where you might be and what you might be doing.

There could be a few reasons for this:
Here is what I reckon could be possible explanations !!
This guy is either treating you as a stop gap and doesn't want to commit to being with you in a full time relationship.
Or
It may be because he likes you, but only as a friend.
Or
He may really like you and want to be with you but he is scared you don't want him in the boyfriend girlfriend way.
The only way to find out is to either put him to the test by making your move on him or talk to the guy about it.
We assume these days people can read minds but if you can't read his mind, I expect he can't read yours either.
Good Luck though, hope it all works out for you.

Sorry, but if this has been going on for years he is just using you when there is no one else around for him. Do you really want to go on like this for several more years? If not, then next time tell him to get lost and when you are ready find someone who will love and respect you for being you - this guy does not have any respect for you.

Thats exactly what it is, he loves the chase. You seem to be putty in his hands and as soon as you ignore him he knows it won 't take much to get you to change your mind again. I wouldn't give him the opportunity to try that again, if he really liked you he wouldn't keep mucking you around.

It's not a chase if you're always available when he calls you. Sounds to me like he's using you to go out with when all his other girls are busy.

SL, the situation is too crowded for him, stop fretting, cut your losses , go on a vacation and start over - plenty of nice people around- improve your situation with wise choices.

He sees you as a casual friend and appears to have no desire to see you regularly or very often.
Meeting you when he's in town is a convenience to him.
think of yourself as an unpaid escort, thats how he sees it.
thats all.
