I think you should look in to Beaufort South Carolina or something in Beaufort County. I live in Minnesota and was going to relocate there and I know that they have good schools as far as academics. They were more progressive than Minnesota schools and who would have thought that? Not me for sure. It is also very nice down there, the pace is somewhat slower than Myrtle Beach (which is also nice) and they have great housing options. From what I remember, the prices were somewhat higher than Myrtle for real estate.....But Lucky you.....I hope to make a move to S.C. next year.

I am from KY and your comment offends me: North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Virginia, or Georgia? Which of these southern Appalachian states is your favorite? Not-so-favorite? Why? Favorites: 1. Alabama. Nice people, gorgeous scenery, has the beaches at the south end of the state. Lots of history and culture, a great state! 2. Tennessee. Great mountain scenery, lots to do in the Smokies, Nashville and Memphis are great cities! I wouldn't mind living in Greater Memphis (not the inner city area, though, b/c it's crime-ridden and grimy.) Overall, another great state! 3. North Carolina. Honestly, I've never been there, but I just think I'd like it. 2. Kentucky. There are two types of people in Kentucky: 1. rich, uptight snobs and 2. poor, white trash people who are still pretentious. Some of the worst people I've ever met are there. The scenery is GREAT, tho Apparently, you haven't been introduced to the right people. Bye the way, learn how to spell. LOL

Well if Alabama is ok then I would suggest Auburn, AL. It has the best schools in AL. My mom lives there and says the people are nice and that the schools are great! It also has a college so if your kids go there when they are older they won't be so far from home. I am thinking about moving there and I have a 2nd grader and a sixth grader so I would put my kids there in a flash! As for the water I might say looking into some where in FL, like Pensacola. They have good schools but there is a lot of traffic there too. If you don't like all the traffic try some cities close to it like Milton or Pace.My kids go jet skiing with my brother who lives in Milton. If you are into a more country place then I would suggest you move to Jay, close to Milton, Pace and Allentown. Hope you might move here! I really like all of these places.

Greenville, SC is a very nice area. I'd suggest living in Simpsonville, though because the public schools seem to be better. It's affordable, beautiful, near many lakes (and only a few hours from the beach). Being the south, you'll find many friendly people and many southern accents :)
