Park House Hotel in Shifnel, Shrops.
Never again! Awful food, rude managers, lots of stuff broken or damaged.

The Plaza Hotel Cleveland Airport
My husband and I were bumped from a flight out of Cleveland and were put up at this hotel by the airline. I should have been leery when the shuttle pulled up at the airport and it was filthy, as well as having their sign taped to the van window. When we arrived we asked for some toiletry items and were given one toothbrush that had the wrapper ripped open and a small bottle of mouthwash. The room was absolutely ghastly--the bathroom was so filthy I refused to take a shower. The toilet seat had what appeared to be blood stains on it. One of the beds in the room had not been changed since the previous occupant and the furniture seemed to have been used for target practice by a knife thrower. I have nothing good to say about the restaurant either. It should have been a clue here, also, as we were the only patrons for dinner. Avoid this place if at all possible.

It was the Ramee hotel in the Juhu area of Mumbai. The reception staff could not communicate with each other and pass on info to us their guest. The nightclub in the basement and parties in the first floor function room kept everybody awake during the night. Housekeeping was so bad, someone in our party of eight had to ask for toilet paper pretty much everyday. I also don't think they cleaned the rooms and bathrooms as throughly as they should (although for me being used to the cheaper of the market, it was OK but unacceptable for GB£80 a night). The group organiser arranged a discount for the group only to be told the discount was for her. It was mainly noise and incompetence that made the hotel bad.
I've stayed in really dirty grubby hostels in the past but for GB£5, you can't complain. You just move out after one night and go to the hostel next door.

I was part of a martial arts team staying at a nice hotle in Halifax , when they told us that the rate they guaranteed us for the weekend was a nightly rate for the weekend. We ended up going down the road to one of the last hotels in the city that still charged by the hour. Our whole team was allowed to stay in one room , (20 people I think). It was horrible , but since we had been to an after competition party , there was no driving home.

Went for a job interview in London when I was a student, went for the cheapest place I could find (still £45 per night though which was a lot to me at that time). There were holes in the walls covered up with random pages ripped out of magazines, black mould in the shower and bed sheets with holes in. The window didn't open either to get in some fresh air.
For breakfast, looking forward to a bacon roll and a cuppa before my big day I was just told to go and get a prepacked muffin from the basket and a coffee (tea wasn't an option) from a vending machine in the hallway with plastic cups. There was an angry lady who didn't speak any English in a little window in the hallway so you couldn't complain or ask her anything - but she knew how to take your money! It was awful!!!

I cannot remember what they were called but they were both in the Florida Keys (but about 10/15 apart) - one had lots of ants and I remember my Mum and I crying and my Dad getting really annoyed with us. The second time was with my husband. Really run down room and door didn't lock - we had ants - they were crawling on the bed and there were also lizards. My husband said it was because it was right near the beach. The next night (we were travelling around) I said I don't care how much it costs we are staying in a decent hotel - we did - on the fourth floor - I felt safe!

Considering the amount of money it cost - the Sheraton, Fishermans wharf in San Francisco.
Nice as you walk in, corridors nicely painted etc, staff were friendly but the room.... oh my god!
the bathroom was mouldy; the tile grout was mouldy, the shower curtain was mouldy, the wallpaper was peeling and was mouldy underneath, the floor tiles were chipped and mouldy!
The smoke detrector was hanging off the ceiling with loose wires,
The air con unit was huge and soooooo noisy, it was a choice of the lesser of two evils - either not sleep because of the noise or not sleep because you were cooking
The curtains didnt close properly.
Only stayed one night.
All in all, probably not the worst hotel in the world, but considering its was supposed to be 5*,....... not good.

it wasn't hotel but a b&b in wrexham
i was working in towns all over the country that's how i ended up in wrexham... the house was looked like the addams family house.. big and gothic... an old lady answered an absolutly immense front door and showed me to my room.. right at the top of the house on the 2nd floor.. tiny little room with no on-suite bathroom... i went for a shower.. no water pressure i had to run around in it to get wet!!
wnet to bed that night, thursday, thinking ah home tommorow, i slept really well suprisingly, anyhow after 2 days what appeared on my arm ring worm, lovely eh?
also a B&B in chepstow where it looked like no-one in the room had dusted over head height for about 20 years, i was told it was self-service breakfast, so in the morning headed down for brekkie boiled the kettle turned over my mug to make a brew to find silverfish on the table cloth.. as you can immagine ate nothing and left...

I don't remember the name of it, but it was on Tonnelle Ave. in Weehawken, NJ, just south of Route 4. Like most low-rate motels in that area, it was not a chain. It was owned by Arabs who put no money into the place. They spent it on gold rings instead. It was the most disgusting rathole I've ever seen. There were stains on the sheets, and hairs inbetween them. The plumbing was disgusting, and so was everything else in the room. I called the office to bring clean sheets. They brought sheets, but they were far from clean. More stains.
So that night I slept in my clothes and jacket, on top of the bedspread. I called the NJ Dept. of Health, but like everyone else in NJ, they didn't care about anything.
