I had my first baby natural, no drugs at all- i did a lot of breathing(Lamaze) Which was wonderful. My second I wanted to have natural again but I got to 7 centimeters and got scared so I had an epidural, I felt no pain at all with the epidural.

I was on Stadol(i don't know if that's how you spell it-but it sounds like that) and then had an Epidural...no pain, seriously! Very relaxing actually!
I wasn't going to do any meds...but I was induced...so i was already hooked up to an IV, and I am so glad it turned out that way!!
can't imagine ever not opting for pain meds!

after that its pretty much whatever you want.
spinal mophines are EXCELLENT, you can get up and move around and everything. Its great.
Stadol makes you forget everything, and makes you SUPER loopy. nubain isnt as bad, but you might not remember your labor and delivery, and trust me, as painful as it seems, its something you'll want to remember later, since thats when your little one began life. Ive had both. Stadol will kick your butt.

i got two shots of nubain its a iv pain reliever. i also got an epidural and during my emergency c-section they gave me a spinal tap

natural Lamaze for me and wasn't bad at all.
Don't be so worried about the pain it is all in the mind and worth every second of it.
