Technically, the answer is no, they shouldn't. They should allow their students access to different kinds of website that help and support them. However, we don't live in a perfect world and my guess is that any computer with a filter will block that site. It's not really fair, but it's life. Filter systems really suck in general. I mean you can't look up breast cancer sites, because of the word breast. I understand the need for filters, but I wish someone would create one that really worked.

Well, That one answer i saw is true, If the site is like Myspace where you can Chat or create Profiles then they block them.
You could ask the headmaster/principal or w/e you call them at your school why its blocked for homosexuality. But they block them also b/c if you were to tell someone where your location is, you could be abducted (Not the Alien type of abducted niether). The Internet is a big place. Millions of people are on here. Fake and real. They do it for your safety. Btw, I have mogenic and i haven't been using it lately...The chatrooms are down!

They are cutting off a vulnerable segment of their population from an anonymous source of support, and too many schools do this. No, they shouldn't. And the sad thing is, it's the schools where kids most need support that do this! The really bad thing is that often, *anti*-gay websites are *not* blocked!
If your school has a GSA, this can be a cause for them. If your parents know, get them to help you talk to them about this. You can even ask them to change to another kind of filterware and say you understand why they'd want to block porno or hate sites, but you don't want to see porno, just stuff that might help you. Bring up things like the Debate Club needing to do research. And if you can access anti-gay sites, like http://www.exodus.to, you should *definitely* bring that to their attention!

Not interested in the site so not sure if it's appropiate or not. If the site deals with issues facing gay teens i.e. how to handle discrimination, same sex marriage etc, it should not be blocked. If, however, it is a "pick-up" site, porn site, etc, then it should be blocked for those reasons.

Hopefully there will never be children subjected to lifestyles and behavior of adults which are of the unnatural magnitude of homosexuality. Children, innocent as they are, should not be taught to hate people of any sexual preference, religion, country or race. They must not be taught how to live, work and survive as homosexual, especially before it is ensured that they understand a boy is a boy and a girl is a girl. Period. Homosexuals should pursue that children be taught 'fairly' and 'truthfully' about homosexuality by a parent, the parents or guardian of children first and foremost (how else can acceptance ever be accomplished?). The union of two or more individuals as partners and mates CAN be sincere and abundantly enjoyed by same sex individuals, BUT boys and girls are meant to be physically, emotionally, spiritually, and naturally sexually attracted to each. This is 'THE' truth and purpose of their differences. Yet, since there are homosexuals who openly display their unnatural affections for one another, children must be taught not to abuse, hate or ostracize them. Homosexuals are going to be homosexuals no matter what, and no matter who they hurt and walk away from to manifest their self centered desires. Period. Nonetheless, children should be taught to accept being born male 'OR' female (not male portraying to be female nor female portraying to be male), and not let other people teach them its natural to change their gender or live the part of their opposite gender. Though homosexuals feel rejected and ostracized by love ones and society, sincere love and support will help them walk the fine line between those whose condemn them and those who persuade them to be homosexual. Homosexuality is far too complex and traumatic for children, who really dont have a clue what life is or what living entails. Keep homosexuality out of schools! Period.
