When the FA were going to appoint the New England manager most people simply wanted an English manager, but not the best man for the job. I never understood that and im not surprised at the results and performance. I don’t even think Mcclaren is the best English manager. Allardyce is, lets hope things improve, as Mcclaren at the moment hasn’t a clue.

Steve Mcclaren? he only has one talent :) letting the fans know we could have someone alot better as manager :) I find it weird to see a former England manager in the current camp who we all know could do hell of a better job! I think things will not improve until this country gets its head out of its butt and starts paying attention to the real talent!!! you could easily name 10 managers better for the job!! even Stuart Pearce could do alot better!! a former player with the heart of a lion! he would not allow our nation to look a joke!

Not being funny Jay A but Mcclaren did achieve a lot at boro. However, i dont think that his tactics are right for england but people should give him a chance. also i dont think that a lot of the players are up to the job of playing for their country which makes it a much harder job. He is certainly not the only person that is to blame for Englands poor performances!

What a breath of sparkling air it really is to verify someone sticking up for McLaren, ok his procedures didnt artwork very very last evening, even he admitted that, yet its good that he had the braveness to objective something diverse, genuinely choose he did it in a delightful instead. i comprehend he ought to possibly have performed it unfavorable to Andorra yet then we may genuinely have received a million - 0 or 2 - 0 and it may come right down to objective huge large difference, its an exceptionally close table. I dont imagine you're able to low value Russia, they have an exceptionally good coach in Hiddiink. I also dont flow with to verify human beings having a flow at Robinson, they could be sure all the spectacular saves he pulled off very very last evening. chance is on an same time as a goallie makes a mistake, it receives punished contained interior the worst surely way (are you able to quite call that a mistake whatever the reality that) extra like undesirable groundsman.

He never did have a clue - he did bugger all @ Boro considering how much money he spent either. I agree that Allardyce is by far the best english manager, I just think that the FA are scared of him cos he wouldn't be their lap dog. Here's to another 4 barren years!

McClaren says he's nothing like Sven but personally I can't see much difference. When is someone gonna realise that you can't play Gerrard and Lampard in the same team!! My nanna would do a better job ... and she's 83

Second choice mclaren shouldn't have been given the job, if he thinks that downing is England material then he must be blind... Sam Allardyce was the man for the job because he actually wanted it in the first place!

mclaren was 3rd choice england manager behind scolari and o'niel. he is a second rate manager who has accomplished very little at club level. people should not be directing their anger at him, he lacks the qualities of a world class manager. its not the fact he is not doing an exellent job, he simply cant. it is the F.As fault for appointing someone who is clearly under qualified

Give the guy a break. He is simply a mediocre manger, coaching a mediocre team that's acheiving mediocre results. Big surprise, the sooner you realise this the better.

Actually their 1st choice was Scolari, who is indeed one of the best coaches around and a non-Englishman.
