I have a 01 monte carlo and i need to figure out how to change my rear abs hub assembly, left side. Please tell me how so i dont have to pay $1000 having someome else do it

This is a pretty easy job for anyone mechanically inclined. Take the rear brake caliper off, remove the ABS connector, slide the rotor off(although it might not exactly slide, think penetrating fluid and light hammering), obtain the proper Torx bit, and turn the 4 bolts out of the axle. After the bolts are removed swing your hammer as hard as you want to knock it off the axle. Clean up the area and reverse the task. You might want to put a dab of bolt Loctite on the hub bolts before re-torquing. Good luck.

If you are mechanically inclined your asking about the tamperproof bolts; a needle nose vise grip works great

REMOVE CAILPER &BRACKET REMOV E BRAKE ROTOR THERE SHOULD BE A WHOLE IN HUB ASEMBLY FLANGE TAKE A SOCKET & REMOVE BOLTS TAKE HAMMER &KNOCK OFF.
