Based on the number of games that have been sold, my guess would be Tetris simply because it came with every Gameboy sold.
If you don't include gamess that come with buying a console, it might very well be the Legend of Zelda for the NES.
Based on the number of people who plays the game on a regular basis, it would probably be StarCraft simply because there are so many people playing the game every day, even after all these years.

Final Fantasy VII~
Revolutionary graphics in its time made it stand out initially. But as you played the game, you got more engrossed into its addictive storyline. The hero Cloud, and the truth about his mysterious identity. Also the game features argueably the best villian in any videogame, of all time, Sephiroth. His stand out moment was seeing to the untimely demise of one of the games main characters, a powerful and moving plot indeed, that keeps this game playable, enjoyable and remembered, for aeons to come.

Well for me it has to be Resident Evil 4 on the gamecube. This one totally revamped the resi series with improved graphics and some sweet gameplay(although i always mess up the fight with Krauser) not to mention some adorable characters(that chainsaw guy for instance) and a fairly decent amount of replay value.

You should say "video game" instead of "computer game" because I thought you were talking only about video games on PC's.
Anyway, my favorite is Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for SNES.

The greatest game of all time has to be Halo/Halo 2... cant wait for the next game in the series to come out, cant wait for the ps3 to come out with its great graphics!
