I am going to south jakarta and some people are saying that not all of jakarta is affected. is this true? i know the media can sometime make it seem like everyone is affected and its hard to know what is real.

HI,

South is safer than other part of Jakarta...at least it gets flooded by water comes from other area, not because its in the lower ground of Jakarta.

These days is pretty hard to tell bcos some part who had never experience flood, can be flooded and vice versa.
I suggest you to tune in the local TV and radio while in Jakarta.

Unless one day of heavy rains, no worry about the flood.

then those 'some people' is correct.
not all parts of Jakarta is having flood.
but it also true that everyone in Jakarta (even people who is living nearby Jakarta) is affected by the flood.

no, not all parts of jakarta was flooded...
but yeah, i guess everybody who lives in jakarta were affected one way or another, i.e. couldn't get from one place to another coz some of the main roads got flooded...

1. Don't go to Kelapa Gading. I've been told the flod there is 9.5m high
2. Some arias like Kebon Jeruk and Meruya are not affected at all
Warnig! The route to and from the airport is flooded. But somehow my aunt was abel to arrive there and i don't know how.
