Choose different friends!! Those people sound very manipulative and think they have some superior knowledge as to what is "going on" with you! They are not going to be willing to communicate verbally with you--not to accept what you say is what you really mean! OR, it's a real "line" that has paid off for them in the past, making the other person feel "special" by someone who "really knows me". Maybe you're giving off signals that you aren't sure of what you feel, yourself! And "need" to have a dominant person?????

Interesting question. I asume that you are somewhat shy and wish to converse a little better with people.. Try to really understand the conversation at hand. It might help to take the focus off of yourself. Use hand gestures and dwell on that while listening. You need to think of a diversion while communicating. A diversion that you can focus on while still being an active talker and listener. Look away periodically, Look down deep in thought when someone says something you find interesting. You have to have self-esteem to express yourself. Being a little more forceful can help. Your opinion counts and means something to others. Share it and enjoy the experience of communicating with other people.

why would you want to? you should just come out with your feelings and thoughts. who are they to judge you and make you feel bad so you have to hide your ture emotions?

just close your eyes i guess, look away? look down?

Look over the top of their heads instead of their eyes.
They will think that you are seeing something else.

this is very simple...don't look at anyone and they will not see your eyes...
