It's a possibility, but I am pretty sure there would be no way to prove it. The anti-Catholic sentiments in the English government of the time make it possible, maybe even probable. Regretably for your pet theory there, no proof supporting your idea can ever be brought forth. After several centuries any scraps of evidence which weren't destroyed immediately after the executions would probably be lost forever. It is an interesting, if unprovable hypothesis.
