When I was about 12 or so, I bought the smashing pumpkins "pisces iscariot" album and I always thought that billy corgan's solo performance of the fleetwood mac classic was one of the best songs (and performances) ever. but then the dixie chicks went and did a totally lethargic version that has made the song well known, and everyone thinks that its a dixie chicks original. Now, if you play the older versions, people say, oh, why would they cover that awful dixie chicks song!? whadayou' think?

When I first heard the Pumpkins version I loved it, I'm a huge smashing pumpkins fan. I kinda actually enjoy that cover more than the original. The Dixie Chicks didnt do it justice, but they did their own take on it. If anyone ever mentions it to you, just play them the Pumpkins version! Much better!

It will always be Fleetwood Mac & Stevie Nicks for me, but I think they did a good job of keeping it like the original ... but I'm not a Dixie Chicks fan. I really hate when artists take an old favorite and try to "re do" what was great before ... a real artist should take a song that bombed and remake that and see if they can turn it to a hit.

I like the Dixie Chicks, but not their version of the classic F.W.M.'s - "Landslide". It should never have been redone... it was perfect the way it was! I can't say that I've ever heard the version by Billy Corgan, but I still can't imagine it being redone by anyone. F.W.M is phenomenal!

Dixie Trailer Park Chicks, totally ruined the song, and none of them can come close to singing better that Stevie Nicks, none.

Well, Stevie Nicks's voice and the Dixie Chick's lead singers voice both sound like a cat screaming to a tune. So I can't stand either version.

I think the pumpkins version and the chicks version were both really good. I am biased as I am a big fan of both groups....

Normally I say people shouldn't cover fleetwood mac songs but I think they did it alright.

It's Stevie Nicks' song...forever and ever. She wrote it and no one does it like her...though Billy's version was close!

It was as bad as just about everything they do. Seriously I would cover that bad of a song simply to improve it, but yeah I knew they destroyed someone else's song.
