Recently my friends have urged me to apply for the next season of Beauty and the Geek, due to the fact that I am, in fact, a geek.
The website has an application form, but also says to include an up to 10 minute long video.
Does anyone have any clue as to what kind of things to include in my video? So far I have about 45 seconds of babbling, I just have no clue what to say or do.

maybe you can ask Niels (www.nielshoven.com) cuz he is one of the "geek" for this season - i think he (or one of the geeks) mentioned that you don't necessarily need a video.. and that no one really goes down that road. I think it is mentioned in his blog... if i remember correctly. Hope this helps. Good luck. Hope you're the geek for next season =)

Watch Revenge of Nerds and maybe slice some in or at least use the editing to help you out. What you need to show is that you are a virgin, afraid of women, wrapped up in academia, clueless as to pop culture, and obessed with something like the Matrix or Lord of the Rings, Star Wars or Star Trek. And if you have a hidden talent, use it.

dont babble. script it out. i assume your a smart guy, so think it through, make it flow, edit it. tour your apartment or parents home or wherever you live (make sure it's clean). take them to your work or school, show them around your average day. show them what you like to do with your freetime (NOT 10min of WoW... maybe like 10 sec to get the idea) make stuff up. it's basically a video resume, follow the rules you would use when applying to a job or to school. don't lie by any means, but you dont have to tell the complete truth either. make yourself seem geekier, play into thier hands. think it out and you very well could be being made fun behind your back of by failed actresses in less than a year.

Just talk about how much of a geek you are like a lint collection so on be as much as a geek as you can because they are looking for real big geeks.

lol cool yet another pastime! Edit: i assume i will make a itemizing. Are we twiddling with women or men for this pastime haha! i'm guessing Charley and Lexi are taken. via Mr Cutie D@vid and Mr appealing Mexi (lol sexi mexi haha fits nicely) :) So for women i like Florial, even although i do no longer probably understand her! (Sorry I voted for you in survivor Florial :( i did no longer understand you nicely)Or Cait feels like a sweety :) i don't have a difficulty with pairing up with Oin the two! Oh if Gryffindor lady comes lower back on she's wonderful to haha For the dudes i'm able to play with almost all of us. Sexi Mexi is taken and Cutie David is purely too. JBFP is superb universal yet he would be cool. Djokerfan known him for awhile. i like him! Mocha would be a severe high quality in wonderful condition too! i'm able to get alongside with maximum persons! Oh haha seem! Lexi & Mexi, purely sounds suitable. i understand Mexi loves Charley and David loves Lexi. purely theory it sounded cool! :)

I guess you could tell them a story about something that happened to you, that would make them think you are truly a total geek.

Just be yourself. Show your personality and what makes you in particular, a geek.
