You can't prove that there even is a god, let alone that abortion is angering him. And now i could get into a long debate about how theoretically all life may be entirely pointless if god does not exist and that you are clinging to the belief that there is a god just so you have some personal hope that your life is not meaningless.

I could also argue that prematurely ending something that will end at some point anyway may well be saving that foetus from a life where the parents do not want the child (and thus may well die at a later point in an equally brutal fashion by the parents that would have ended the life to start with) or where the child may be born with defects that would cause said child to have an extrememly poor quality of life.


However, if you want to go down the religious route, Many people think that a human being is created at the time of conception but this belief is not supported by the bible. The fact that a living sperm penetrates a living ovum resulting in the formation of a living fetus does not mean that the fetus is a living human being. According to the bible, a fetus is not a living person with a soul until after drawing its first breath.
After God formed man in Genesis 2:7, He “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and it was then that the man became a living being”. Although the man was fully formed by God in all respects, he was not a living being until after taking his first breath.

In Job 33:4, it states: “The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”

Again, to quote Ezekiel 37:5&6, “Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live. And I will lay sinews upon you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the Lord.”

In Exodus 21:22 it states that if a man causes a woman to have a miscarriage, he shall be fined; however, if the woman dies then he will be put to death. It should be apparent from this that the aborted fetus is not considered a living human being since the resulting punishment for the abortion is nothing more than a fine; it is not classified by the bible as a capital offense.

According to the bible, destroying a living fetus does not equate to killing a living human being even though the fetus has the potential of becoming a human being. One can not kill something that has not been born and taken a breath. This means that a stillborn would not be considered a human being either. Of course, every living sperm has the potential of becoming a human being although not one in a million will make it; the rest are aborted. .

God has decreed, for one reason or another, that at least one-third of all pregnancies shall be terminated by a spontaneous abortion during the first trimester of pregnancy and that a number will be terminated after the first trimester. It would appear that God does not have any more regard for the loss of a fetus than he does for the loss of a placenta or a foreskin despite the fact that these were living tissue as the result of conception.

In a number of versions of the bible, one of the commandments in Exodus 20 that was spoken by God to Moses states: “You shall not kill”. According to the Mosaic text, this should read “You shall not murder” since the bible has commandments stating that people shall be put to death for a number of different offenses. Exodus 21:17 states: “Whoever curses his father or mother shall be put to death.” There are other capital offenses in Exodus 21. Of course, the commandment “You shall not kill” is not present in the commandments written by God on the stone tablets. For those who are not familiar with the commandments on the stone tablets that were placed in the Ark of the Covenant, they are enumerated in Exodus 34. The popular ten commandments that are enumerated in Exodus 20 were spoken by God to Moses who then relayed them to his people; they were never written.

There is nothing in the bible to indicate that a fetus is considered to be anything other than living tissue and, according to scripture, it does not become a living being until after it has taken a breath.

I don't find what's so shocking about it. Maybe I'm desensitized, maybe i just don't care. But look at the foster home children often time you don't see what's behind closed doors some children are better off not being born, i'm not advocating abortion here, i'm tell the truth, sometimes it's harsh and ugly and you don't wanna face it but at some point you have to. I'm not for or against it, aboriton is murder, eating meat is murder, it's part of life, everyone has choices to make some of those choices are harder and we live them when we make them. Is abortion right, no it's not, espically when you're 16 out having promsicious sex have the got damn baby and deal with life.

Wow! That is really interesting. So tell me, have you read reports about how rape and incest victims shun contact with people, particularly males, because they feel dirty and used? Do they show videos on that? Abortion is NOT birth control or an easy decision, so would you please stop making women feel that they are monsters who should be berated for not wanting to have a child in those circumstances. Even if the pregnancy occurred in a committed relationship, it is easier for the guys to bail if they are scared than a girl. Maybe it's easier to pass judgment that way...

Actually yes, you can look up a video called "The Silent Scream" which actually shows a fetus in the womb trying to "get away" from the suctioning device used to rip apart its body. As far as this girl who commented about you "being a man" and not having a right to say anything...that's ludicrous. She's a typical feminist. Since when does a baby only become the say-so of the woman? Last I remembered it takes a woman AND a MAN to conceive!

And also, abortion has become a cop-out for people who are involved in pre-marital relationships. When they screw around and get pregnant, abortion is the easy, self-centered way to go. They don't want to take responsibility for their actions and so their baby becomes a "mistake" that they made. True, there are cases where a mother is in danger of health complications...I've heard this before...but every REAL mother I know would risk anything and everything so that her child would have a chance to live. Abortion is self-centeredness.

if there weren't abortions, there'd be 1.37 million unwanted children a YEAR in the USA that tax money would have to pay for, many with birth defects/drug addictions and high hospital bills.
would you adopt a malformed drug baby? do you want to pay for 1.37 million babies? how would the nation pull that off? even if the mother ended up keeping (rather than adopting out) the baby--over half of the women getting abortions are under 25 yrs old and have a household income under poverty and would end up on welfare & gov't assistance, when they could have potentially become a self-sufficiant memeber of society (gone to school, gotten a job, etc)
when you can take over the growing of a fetus and raising of the subsequent child, then you MIGHT understand.
