I have been diagnosed first at the hospital as having myofacial back pain.sent to physio where I was diagnosed as having wad 2 (whiplash stage 2) The medication does nothing to help. It has been six weeks from the car accident I happened to be a passenger in. I was sitting in our van between my little ones with a seatbelt on. (it only was a lapbelt) Rear ended. I have pain in my neck, come and go but extreme headaches, pain between my spine and my shoulder blades, a shoulder that feels like it will drop off at my arm. My right hand has two fingers that fall asleep. Sharp pains like i am stabbed in my mid back when I walk, Extreme low back pain, which never goes away. When I sit I get pains in my legs fast that gives the feeling like when you are hit fast by a shopping cart, but the pain stays. I cant stay on my feet long, My legs ache , left hip, and back gets sore.A hot bath makes numb left foot. How long does all this pain last. Has anyone healed past all this and how?

Sounds like you have more than myofacial back pain, you may need an MRI, sounds like you have some pinched nerves and disc issues. If your Dr. is aware of all these symptoms and doesn't order an MRI then ask for a referal to neurology.
