What are the causes for the popularity of fast food restaurants?

We live in a fast pace world, everyone is in such a hurry it seems. I feel it is easy to just pull in a drive thru then spend 40 mins in the kitchen. But then again it is also Laziness.
I think if we all sat down with our family's for a home cooked dinner at least 3-4 nights a week our world would be heading in a complete different path. Our kids would feel like we care cause we are taking the time (especially if they help you make it). Our significant others would feel appreciated...

Popularity has grown with fast food chains because it is convenient and you really don't have to do anything to get it on the table except fork over some cash. The allure is families that have two working parents or one that drops the kids off in the am goes to work then has to pick them up from day care and after school and by the time you are done its 6:00pm and the kids are starving. No one wants to spend the time to plan a meal for the week much less cook it. That is where they get their customer base.

We are all in such a hurry and no one has time to cook anymore. We are busy keeping the kids busy so they will stay off the streets and now we are too busy to make dinner or breakfast...and usually lunch. And another thing...They have fast food chains in some Texas high schools. Can you believe that? Talk about contributing to obesity and poor health in general.

I don't know how it can be tasty. After i ate it i feel i wanted to vomit and never eat there again !
It is popular only in America, never seen so many fast restaurants in other countries. And a lot of people don't have choice, because their choice is what fast food restaurant to go. And it is not cheap, u'll spend more money later trying to loose weigh, treat heart deseases and so on. I better stay hungry and feel good then eat it and feel like i put bricks in my stomack, see bigger butt and cellulite on it.
