I'm confused about what my friend thinks of me. I've known him properly for about three months, and we generally hang around in a group. Sometimes I get the feeling he likes me. He looks at me and smiles at me a lot. He often sits next to me. If I'm talking to other people he often seems to be listening to what I'm saying, and sometimes joins in with the conversation, commenting on what I've said. He'll remember things I've said to him, or things I've said when he's around from weeks before. He'll always comes over and talk to me when he gets the chance, and sometimes when I'm talking to other people he'll hang around me, as if he wants to talk to me but doesn't have the chance to. He's generally quite shy, and doesn't give much away, so it's hard to tell what he's thinking. What signs should I be looking for? How can I tell whether it's just friendship he wants, or more?

Theres no way to tell with the way things are unless you're some sort of mind reader! if he's shy as well, he's not going to give anything away! So why don't you try to arrange doing something just the two of you rather than hanging around in a group? Maybe that could give you some more information? If you don't feel quite ready to take things that far, just try hanging around with him more even when you're with the group. Try talking to him directly more and getting to know more about him. Get closer to him and you'll be able to rea his reactions more.

dear, if he smile a lot to u, and feel like having conversation alone then it's certain something is cooking in his mind for you. Am a shy boy too, i find it hard to tell a girl that i like her and i only wait for opportunities, as such i acts exactly the way that guy is acting.

So give him some opportunity to be alone with you and be attentive, sensible, caring, smiling and tease him a bit if you really like him.
I was in similar case recently but luckily i got the opportunity that i was looking and i told her that i like her.
give him an 'Invitation to treat'. i.e. ask him what he's doing for the weekend and you tell him that you have nothing to and that you dont have much friend etc... or something related, he'll surely try to invite you somewhere and this is where everything will begin...
i believe he like you but is waiting for opportunities

Go right ahead and say what you think. But if you were reading the situation wrong try not to be embarassed (I know it's not that easy!). Try and laugh about it and then just carry on as you were. It's no big deal and I'm sure it would be quickly forgotten. However, it does sound like he's interested.

This guy cares for you. It's obvious from everything you said. It's also obvious that he's not going to bust a move. Tell this guy that you want to take him out on a real date. If all goes well, fine. If not, you haven't lost anything and you have gained the knowledge that you need to move on.

Just ask, it is the only way you are going to find out. It will be hard, but once you finally do you will feel so much better. Good Luck

Asking someone a direct question is no guarantee you will get a straight honest answer. Take men having affairs whose wives ask them "are you having an affair". How many actually own up.
