The chain of life

Starts with that of a new born child to its end the elderly

Have any of you ever thought for a second how they must feel...society starts to "grade" age, especially when it comes to employment...if that wasn't enough for the elderly...imagine the rejection it must put them through..journey into their world and for just a second imagine all your thoughts about you...suddenly once in your life time you were a very self successful individual and independent person..to finding out that society doesn't need you anymore....
Life to me happens like this...when one is born into this world, they in a sense enter into the "front door"...they grow, they live, they learn and love the cycle we all take...as their journey furthers...suddenly their bodies begin to feel aches and pains that they never had before...this is the beginning of a journey we will all one day take...I call this the "back door"...or "final door"...in other words...Life comes in, and Life goes out.
One thing I would like to say for those who don't realise the thoughts and feelings of the elderly...is know that death to them is new...they have fears...YET...they individually know they will come to accept it as they move on in the years...don't ever forget...if they may have a bad day with you...measure it out "wouldn't you if you started to crumble to age?"...have compassion..they could be your mother, your father one day not to mention yourself...compassion is fading in this world...show it, and the future generations will know it as well...
Love is what we all need and want in this life, from one who worked in a elderly home...love them while they are with you.

I don't feel pressured about it. It's an honor to take care of the parents who took care of me for so long.

Today is the sixteenth anniversary of my mothers death God I wish she were here so I could take care of her. I have not walked a mile in your shoes and you have not walked a mile in mine but I know your shoes hurt you as much as mine hurt me. You can't wear someone else's shoes but sometimes if you look at them it makes you feel better about wearing your own. Bless you for all you do.

I'm not an only child but I'll proably be the one to take care of my parents when they get older and can't take care of themselves.
