You also have some responsibility in birth control, if she is as flighty as you say she is, my guess is that you should not have trusted her to be on it and take it regularly (flighty people forget to take their meds)
1st of all, you'll need to establish paternity.
2nd, $800 is a lot for child support, that would mean you'd have to be making A LOT of money each month in order for a judge to tell you that's how much you should pay. She's responsible for some portion of her supporting the child as well. Even if she doesn't work, the child support computation will put her at minimum wage to figure out how much she's responsible for and how much you are. If you put the child on your insurance, that cuts down some on how much you'll pay each month.
3rd. You are not at all responsible for the house, that's what the child support money goes to, raising your child.
I hate when people take advantage... good luck!

Unfortunately life will come as a smack in the face to her. Although if her parents have bought her a new house...they will likely help out quite a bit.
Obviously you need to pay child support if the baby is yours (whether she was supposed to be responsible for the birth control or not)...but you still have every right to be in the child's life AND I'm pretty sure you DO NOT have to pay for part of her brand new house...I think the child support (and the courts will determine how much you pay) is what you're responsible for.
Sounds like a tough situation! Good luck!

First, I'm sorry that she's acting like such a jerk. Women that do stuff like that make the rest of us look bad.
Second, in the future, I think you should take responsibility for the birth control yourself, even if the woman says she will. Better safe than sorry if you aren't interested in being a daddy.
At this point, if you're not sure if the kid is yours, you can demand a DNA test be done. You may have to pay for it, but that's better than paying child support for someone else's kid.
If it turns out to be yours, you have a responsibility to that child, and how much you pay would be dependant on how much you make at your job. Let the courts decide, though. She's not entitled to your help paying for her house, though, as that would fall under the "alimony" headline, and you were never married.
All this varies depending on the state you live in, too, but I'd go to court about it. Sounds like she's wanting you to support a child that she decided to have without your input, and perhaps doesn't even plan on supporting herself?
Good luck!

YOU should have thought about that before u put ur penis in her. as for right now i dont believe u have to pay for her housing, get court mandated child support. they will give a definite amount to pay every month. dont just go by what she says.
for future reference, no birth control is 100% except abstinence.
sounds like you didn't plan too well either.

$800 is a lot. You should figure out what is the reasonable amount, maybe through the courts, and pay that amount. Take control of your own life, wear a condom!!

i think that you need to talk to her and tell her how you feel. you have certain responsibilites to the child not her and her lifestyle. so talk to her and plan a life for your child. whether or not you two decide to be together there's still a baby that needs to be provided for.
