Nuvo Ring Side Effects?

We have been trying to conceive since 2003. We've had 4 miscarriages in just the last two years, and the doctor wanted me to use birth control until we could do some more testing, to prevent another miscarriage. We're on "Pause" right now pending some insurance issues.

I have used Depo previously, was great for a while, but then it began causing major depression, weight gain, acne, etc. etc.

I came off Depo in 2003.

I have now been using the Nuvo Ring for 2 months. I have decided I REALLY do not like using hormonal BC, but I am almost scared not to use it. This is my second/going into the third ring now. I took the ring out on Saturday and still no period. Does this Nuvo ring, like the Depo, cease periods?

Could Nuvo be the cause for my increased acne, and mood swings? The doctor assured me that because of the method of delivery, side effects were much less. But I am not convinced now after having used it for a couple of months.

i've been using nuva ring for a year, and i've never had a problem missing, even at the beginning, and nuva tends to clear up acne... not trying to get hopes up.. but maybe you are pregnant... acne, mood swings, and missed periods are definately a sign of that... get checked, because if you are, you need to stop the BC

I'm on the NuvaRing. I take mine out on a Tuesday and I don't start my period until the following Saturday or Sunday. I'm usually still on my period when I insert my new ring.

I have had no problems with acne or weird mood swings. Side effects are much less with the ring because its a constant flow of hormones and its a low dose.

Maybe you need to wait a little bit until your body gets to use to it. I know at first I was a little off with both my period and everything else when I first started it.
