Thermostat on a 97 Ford Aspire?

Where is the thermostat on a 97 Ford Aspire . Is it at the bottom of the radiator or at the top ?

This you shall find behind the metal nozzle coming out of the cylinder head where the upper radiator hose mounts to the engine. It should be held inplace with 2 bolts. When replacing ensure that the old gasket has been throughly removed from both the head and the nozzle.
Install the new thermostat in the cylinder head, with the valve end first and the subvalve (air bleed valve) at the top.
Lightly coat both sides of the new gasket with gasket sealer.
New gasket and tighten the bolts to 15-19 ft lbs.
