I would try to call that person with my cellphone. The first question would be "where you at honey?", then while still talking, I would go as fast as I can to the place he/she is at.
but, still on the phone, you can persuade that person to believe in life and that both of you, together, can resolve the problem he/she has... that'll work if you're a naturally caring person and he/she knows it. If not, well call 911 on another telephone while still talkin to him/her, but eh tell'em it's a suicidal case and they have to be as discreet as possible so they can save his/her life before he/she ends it knowing you called the cops on him/her... I don't know if it makes any sense at all

It depends. Some people threaten to kill themselves if you want to break up with them, and that's just a manipulation tactic. If someone threatens to commit suicide because you want to break up, then you should call 911. If it's something else, keep talking to them on the phone until you or a friend can get there and then I would suggest getting them a therapist.

I would say anything I could stop that from happening. Keep them occupied until they cheer up and realize life is worth living

well first try to talk to them, the longer they talk the better chance you have of talking them out of it. Change the subject, or try to correct the problem that is bothering him or her. anyway, or anything that you can do to help would be the best thing to do.

Anything! Promise to give sex, money, love,... whatever he wants. I'm too emotional.
