Because it's the NFLs marketing megalith. Did you know that the rules require that more balls be used in the Super bowl than any other game. Why? because they sell them for big money. It's all about marketing. Commercial time is incredibly expensive, companies spend all year devising their new superbowl commercial. Yes in the midst of all this they do decide which team will be this years champion. the entire season is a giant tournament, and it is very exciting to watch, (if you're a fan), but bottom line, it's all about The Almighty Dollar.

Well, this is a real hard one,,, The SUPERBOWL means a lot of things to a lot of people. First and foremost it is a goodwill ambassador, fans of all races and creeds can bond in cheering on their team. Secondly it's an opportunity to honer the achievements of professional athletes who sacrifice their bodies to entertain us. While we're on the subject of entertainment, what did you think of the halftime show? And let's not forget about all the hard working Americans who love the sport and the payoff of a big bash at a time of year when most athletes are on vacation.

First and foremost to determine the best team in the NFL. Secondly so that they can make a lot of money. Thirdly so that all the people who make commercials can push there products on us. And finally so that this year my house could be divided. Hope that helps.
