Before I had my daughter I barely had any cramps and my PMS symptoms were minimal. Now when I'm about to start, I feel like I'm dying. I'm not sure what causes this. Just last night, I was on the couch curled in a ball with a ThermalWrap and Midol and still felt like crap. And I didn't have a C-section, so I don't think that necessarily has anything to do with it, but it could for her.

Periods can change drastically after having a baby. A regular cycle can go to an irregular cycle and no cramps can turn into bad cramps. Have her talk to her doc. If it is always on one side, she may have gotten a cyst on her ovary which would cause quite a bit of pain during her period.

I didn't have a c-section but I had my son 2 months ago, and always have bad cramps on my right side, and nothing on my left, I think its normal, expecially while the body is still recoperating.

It would be a good idea for her to contact her doctor about this; since she had a c-section, adhesions or scar tissues could be forming in the wrong places, and that could be causing her pain. If necessary, a doctor can do a laproscopic procedure to check for these problems, and correct them.

I use to get major cramps before having children but now I don't....so I am sure it can go the other way around too.

She needs to call the Doctors office, it could be scare tissue building up and causing some pain while on her period.
