It has a 401 Nailhead V8 engine.
Is it expensive? If so, can I have my old one repaired?

I was told there may be a couple of spare ones under the ranegage. Where is the ranegage located?

shovelkicker! Thank you sir for your very informative answer. Does that muffler lube only come in a can, or does it come in a tube that will fit into my Winchester lever action lube squirt gun?

That will be a hard find. In 1963 they outlawed the use of chromium for muffler bearings because of the fear of chromium gas poisoning. Since that time they use a stainless copper alloy replacement. You might have to use a large left handed cresent wrench to resise the newer model bearing to make it fit.
Make sure you use plenty of muffler lube when installing that bearing so it won't sieze up next time.
Gotta love those 401 nailheads, lot of punch when you drop the hammer.
;-)

Somebody is yanking your chain HARD! No such thing as a muffler bearing or a ranegage (rainguage?). Get 'em back by buying an exhaust donut gasket.

=== for a really clean '59 Electra you can expect to list for $16,750.00USD and probably settle for about $15,000.00USD ==== google the search bar <<< 1959 buick electra for sale >>> and you will be in the results for the car that you want to research and sell .... for that kind of money you will need to have the underside clean and new under coat and the trunk as near to original as possible and dust free............

Sounds like someone is having a lot of laughs at your expense. Their pulling your leg, jerking your chain. But don't get mad, get even. Study cars from top to bottom, untill you know what there made of and how they work.

Have you checked your blinker fluid yet? In a car that old it tends to dry up.
