i would say they do that because during a majority of the movie the audience is gonna be lauging because they are gonna be playing on a lot of stereotypes about fat people so maybe someone thought it would be better to not have an actual fat person play the part so that a real fat person doesnt get their feelings hurt.....

Why does Eddie Murphy keep doing the same tired thing? Remember when he was funny and people liked him? As to why not get actual obese people it is probably because Hollywood has it's image, which prevents obese people from becoming actors.

So often, obese people are made the object of derision in movies. Eddie Murphy has always gone for the cheap laugh, but he also knows he could never get anyone with any self-respect to play the buffoon.

I think it is more of a multiple-role thing than a fat-person thing. Perhaps Eddie Murphy's become typecast now on these movies that made a bundle. Men playing women is an old comedy ploy in movies.

Do you mean early Eddie Murphy or "now" Eddie Murphy, the position he feels the decide on to play each and each friggin' personality? Early Eddie Murphy grow to be an extremely good actor. He had ideal comedy timing. I favored him to Will Smith. in case you watch a movie pronounced as "Bowfinger", you will see that Eddie (and, funnily adequate, Steve Martin) convey again many of the former magic they'd contained in the early days. yet then he went on to make The Adventures Of Pluto Nash and The Klumps or in spite of the hell piece of crap relatives action picture he's doing now. Oh yeah... it grow to be pronounced as "Dave". Christ on a bike. Anyhoo, to respond to your question: a million. Early Eddie Murphy 2. Will Smith 3. "Now" Eddie Murphy

Eddie is desperate to regain the laughs he had from Coming To America and the first Nutty Professor. So he's taking on another movie where he plays multiple characters. He's washed up.

He not only plays fat people in the Klump movies, he also plays the skinny Buddy Love, which they couldnt do with an actual large person.
in "Click" Adam Sandler's face is morphed onto the body of a very overweight guy, and, to me, it looked very fake.

easy, when you get an actor/actress to play a role you have to pay for them, their makeup and hair artists and every need that that actor/actress may need to play that role. this way he saves more money and gets more for himself. honestlly i am really getting tired of it. the nutty professor and coming to america was cute but now it's just so overdone and getting really boring.

I dunno...and that's a good question. I guess It's because he cannot sell movie tickets by just being himself anymore.
