Since humans are warm blooded animals, our body temperature is regulated and stays at a pretty constant level...around 98 degrees. Your baby is immersed in amniotic fluid inside of you and is protected from the outside elements for the most part. As long as YOUR internal body temperature stays the same...your baby won't notice the cold on the outside...even if you're teeth are chattering! :)
If you're body temperature would drop (from hypothermia for example) then the baby would feel that difference and it could harm her...but just stepping outside into the cold is fine. Our bodies are wonderfully equipped to regulate our internal temperature! Just make sure to bundle up!

Don't worry about it. Your body temp will keep the baby warm. I've read so much about not getting your core temp too warm and avoid things like hot baths, sauna's, hot tubs, tanning beds, etc... However, I've never read anything about a baby getting cold. Even if you felt cold, I doubt your body temp got low enough for it to effect your baby. I think you would have to be going through hypothermia.

As long as you stay warm, then your baby will be warm. I don't think that you being cold just that one night would have hurt your baby; but if your house is cold, you should try to warm it up. Try to get your hands on a heater of some sort, and layer your clothing/blankets as necessary.

your temperature regulates the baby's temperature, the baby can't feel cold. Your blood and organs are warm.
