dreams can disturb your sleep or cause you not to sleep as well. i have night terrors a few times a month and it will cause me to be stressed when i am sleeping. i will wake up frequently and not feel rested at all. you may want to go to a doctor and see if they can recommend a mild sleeping pill for you.

I believe I heard somewhere that we only dream during REM sleep, which is when we are in our deepest sleep of all. If that is the case, you're not tired from dreaming interfering. I wonder if maybe it could be a sleep disorder like apnea or if there is a disorder where one sleeps too hard. You could check out those possibilities if you're really concerned and a good place to start would be to consult with a sleep center. They will hook you up to all these sticky pads with wires to a machine and monitor you as you sleep to assess if this is your problem. It's all really kind of interesting to experience.

Dreaming is a normal, healthy part of your REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. Some people remember their dreams, while others rarely do. We cannot do without REM sleep.
Are you getting enough sleep each night? You should try for close to eight hours. Perhaps you are dealing with too much stress when you are awake. If so, you should attempt to cut down on the things that are stressors - as they could interfere with your sleep.

I have extraordinary dreams every night.
A doctor once told me that at the time a person is dreaming they are in a very deep sleep.
So, no, I don't think the dreams are interfering with your sleep.
However, having what they call "vivid dream recall" like I have sure interferes with my day! The dreams are so real I find it takes several hours to "forget them."
My doctor said if I took sleeping pills (even tho I can sleep) that they might make the dreams go away..... or, he said, write a book about them !!
Good luck - p.s. my children have weird dreams too - its such a curse!!
pps. They say anyone who doesn't dream is a "moron".... ??
