i want to sing a song in the farewell party in my school. it would be nice if i had some music with it. eg: if i wanted 2 sing britney's everytime, can i remove britney's voice alone and keep the music??????

there is a way you can lower the vocals on the track(beat) itself or you can just go to limewire or napster and download the instrumental!!!

You can use the software audacity for it.
it is open source and you can find it on sourceforge.net

here is the link which will explain how to remove vocals from songs. Mind u, there is no definite method for it.

No, you can't.
in my opinion, that seems only expert can do.
because i'm interested in karaoke something.
so i tried to seperate the instrumental from the song many times but always end in failure! (it sounds really crap. it's waste your time)
you had better go to pruna, and search instrumental you want.
