There is a mountain range running through Ecuator and Brizil that allows a colder climate for snowfall. Some parts, yes it does. In the lower areas that are tropical, it does not. It depends on where you're at. It doesn't happen much but it does happen in the winter time.

Yes.

“The highest point on the Equator is 4,690 m, at 00°00′00″S, 77°59′31″W on the south slopes of Volcán Cayambe (summit 5,790 m) in Ecuador. This is a short distance above the snow line, and is the only point on the Equator where snow lies on the ground.” Wikipedia

Africa's highest mountain Mount Kilimanjaro, is almost on the equator & also has a snow covered peak: http://www.ganeandmarshall.co.uk/africa/tanzania/kilimanjaro_factsheet.html

I'd like to say "no" since it's the obvious answer, but the truth is I don't know what the highest elevation is at the equator. My guess is that there is no mountain high enough on the equator to get snow, but then I could very much be wrong. 25000 miles leaves plenty of room for a nice tall mountain.

It does snow in the Andes mountains, which stretch along the western coast of South America and extend almost all the way to the equator.

Mt. Kilimanjaro is pretty close to the equator....that sets snow near it's summit.

It has never gotten cold enough on the equator to snow.
