estee lauder makeup is amazing. i use double wear but they do loads for different coverage etc. its about £20 a bottle, but lasts ages so in actual fact doesnt work out much more expensive than buying cheaper ones that you need to use more of. i tried everything before i got that and havent looked back since trying it! but obviously it depends on skin type etc. a lot of big department/beauty stores sell it and will give u free samples before you actually buy it, and will assess your skin type to suggest which one will be best for you. hope that helped!

I like Recover by Rimmel. It's light, there are micro particles in it that give your skin a glow. The thing with foundation is that most people just slap it on and expect miracles. There should be whole process BEFORE the foundation.
1) Start with a freshly clean face.
2) Use a none greasy moisturizer.
3) With a cover stick that is 1/2 to 1 shade lighter than your skin, cover the dark circles under your eyes and your blemishes (the best way to do this is with a brush or your finger tips
4)THEN you can apply your foundation. I wouldn't recommend using your fingers for this. I always find that it applies too much. Personally I put a drop on the back of my hand that I use as a palette and dab a sponge into to apply to my face.
If you are looking to cover heavy scary or bad blemishes like acne and black heads, this foundation isn't for you. In fact most aren't. I would recommend sheer cover if that is the case.

Hi after years of searching for a decent foundation and other make up products, i have found one that is the best i have ever use in my life. Its by Barbara Daily and its the tesco Make up range and its only £5. I thought when i first i applyed it i had wasted my money as it went on so light but when i added more after the first go it blended so well i was amazed. I had a spot free complextion and i have alot of spots. I also you the soft touch pink shimmer to give me a bit of a glow and it really does the trick. Ive tried nearly evey foundation that comes out and none are as goos as this one. And even the expensive ones are not as good. I spent £11 on Loreal and its rubbish.

Hands Down ~ The absolute BEST (and I've tried a lot!) is Lancome!!!! They also have the best mascara in my book too. But, I bought a bottle of their foundation in May 2006 and I'm still using the same bottle. And, I use it EVERY SINGLE DAY! It has not separated or gotten watery. I LOVE the coverage - I don't get shiny and with all the others I've tried I found that I had to use powder over the foundation to keep the shinies away - but with this product - I don't have to use power at all! The coverage is PHENOMENAL!

Clinique's foundations are great for coverage and always make you look blemish free, but they are expensive.
A cheaper option that I'm using at the moment is L'Oreal Infallible foundation.
It's quite thick but doesn't look caked on. It lasts easily all day, controls shine really well and gives me a really smooth looking complextion.
All that for circa £10.
I've tried most of the top and medium brands, and this one gets nine out of 10.

Prescriptives Virtual Skin - it's a sheer- to medium-coverage foundation, so it looks incredibly natural. I've used it for years, and I've found it's the best out there.

This is really a matter of personal taste and opinion, but I've used Max Factor Whipped Creme foundation for many years & love it. It's water based, but moisturizes & the color matches my skin perfectly. Just my opinion...
