It's all or nothing. Although, you can get earn a GED (General Educational Development) certificate, which is supposed to show that you've learned as much as if you had stayed in school. Some employers (and all colleges) want to see your high school transcript to see what classes you had and how you did in them, so you may get credit with them for the classes you did take.
Best bet? Stay in school. It's much easier, it says more about you, and it's free. And no one has ever said they regretted getting a high school diploma. In today's world, it's the minimum requirement to get almost anywhere in life. If you apply for a job and the other candidates have a diploma and you don't, who do you think the boss is going to hire?

If you leave and not graduate then you wouldnt get a thing. And what exactly do you call qualifications at 16 years old in high school? Are you talking about your divers license? Leaving school at 16 now days means that you are setting yourself up for failure. What do you think you would do for a job and support yourself? Its not like you can leave school and go to medical or law school at 16.
But if you are talking about levening the American System and going to another counties educational system, Im sure you would endup behind everyone else in your age and grade. In England by the time that you are 18 years old you have what is equivalnt to a 4 year college degree in the U.S.

qualifications for what? You have to graduate to get your high school diploma. They do not give you anything for dropping out of school. It's possible to get a General Education Diploma later, but you still have to take a test and frequently classes to get that. And I am not sure if it's federal law or state by state, but I know in Indiana, you cannot take the GED until you're 18 now.

in most cases no... you will have to meet state requirements to receive a high school diploma. High School usually takes 4 years to complete, some can finish it in 3 years, however I don't know if they can complete all the requirements by 16. Some states are trying to pass different types of plans in school depending on your future education plans...for example a 4 year high school plan will be for those looking to go to a University, 3 years for just a standard college, and 2 years for those going to a community college/technical school...I have no idea if this will even come into affect....well hope I helped

Unless you attended some kind of vocational training or worked towards your GED if you drop out of school at 16 you do not get any qualifications and many places will not hire unless you have received some kind of diploma.
