He cried wolf about Iraq and was apparently lying so now perhaps he is telling the truth about Iran but nobody believes him anymore.
Maybe Iran was the wolf all along but he could not say it back then so used Iraq as an excuse to get a better shot at the reall wolf
Now this complicated chess ploy is back-firing.

I think Iran has been the problem all along.

I think they got the letters mixed up. Iran. Iraq. They're so close in spelling. They're both Muslim countries. Neither one of them really liked us. They're in the same part of the world. Heck, they're neighbors. It's easy to get them confused. See they probably meant to say that Iran had WMDs, but then the Shrub got flustered and couldn't remember that Saddam was in charge of Iraq, not Iran. Plus, there was that whole thing with Bush and Saddam back in the 90s. And what happens?... we end up attacking the wrong country. Up until 911 people were saying there were no WMDs in Iraq. Then they appeared on the horizon of all those various "intelligence" reports. I'm telling you. It was a typo.

If you recall, in 2002 international intelligence experts from different countries, not just the US, were unanimous in thinking Iraq had WMD. Sen. John Kerry and Sen. Clinton and the United Nations thought so too.
Apparently the intelligence was faulty; it wouldn't be the first time.
To say something you think is true is not a lie.
I have no respect for people who deliberately misrepresent the truth. Saying that Pres. Bush lied about the WMD is one such misrepresentation.
