I always use pool chems to balance the PH, ALK, Bromine and hardness and had fantastic luck. Lately, I still get more foam than I'd like to see. Though it isn't much id rather not see it. Any ideas?

The foam may be a result of body oils and soaps. They sell a product that you can use to take care of this but it has a limited effect.

You may want to change the water out and see if that helps.

the reason you have foam is your skin...if you notice the more you use the hot tub the more foam it creates...this is because your skin cells come off when you get in the water and this creates the bubbles or foam...there are 2 ways to get rid of the foam...1- drain the hot tub completely and clean and put new chemicals in or 2- go to your local pool supply company and get a product called defoamer...the second is a quick fix and will work instantly but will only last a few times...the best thing to do is to drain and clean...the short answer is the water is too dirty and needs to be changed....

Body oils. I drain clean and re-fill my tub monthly. Even though I have a good filter and the water is cleaned with sanitizers I don't like the idea of soaking in body solids. The only way to get rid of them is to drain the and add new water.

Add a cup of white vinegar to the water. It will reduce bubbles in the water and help clean the jets at the same time.

Ease up on the hardner control until the foaming is at a level you can tolerate... harder water, less foaming.
