idk, as I was once hospitalized in critical condition for life threatening paper cuts. I got into a fight with a librarian.

It is assumed that the pilot does not come in contact with the above mentioned book and, thus, is safe from the paper, because it is also assumed that he has read up on how to pre-flight, take-off and land the plane and should have memorized these things and have practiced them.
The only danger of a book being on an aircraft is if it is in the hand of a pilot and says 'Flight Instructions for Beginners'. If that is the case, run like the wind, my passenger friends.

So you can read it.
You just have to be careful not to.
And if the person is scared of paper cuts, then all you have to do is to just stay away/not read. The answer is so obvious! All you have to do is use your common sense.
If you get a paper cut, then it's your fault for choosing to read the book. You could've prevented it by not reading it.
You're not thinking that papers can be a lethal weapon are you?

I'd like to see you try to cut someone's throat with a piece of paper.
If that's the best you can do, you would make for a pretty sad terrorist.

GREAT!
Why don't you give them MORE suggestions about things we can't bring on the plane? How about people? Could anything else possibly more dangerous than people?

Because it's just a teeny cut. It's not as if you can severely injure or kill someone with it. Just piss them off a little.
