I dated a girl from England, they usually put ketchup and mayonaise on their fries at the same time. They even package it in the same bottle over there. You can actually buy a bottle that has ketchup and mayonaise pre-mixed.

Being down under is as close to England as I could get and with"Fish and Chips", vinegar and salt was the toppings. Tomato sauce you had to ask for - even at MacDonalds.
