Jeff Buckley, by a country mile.
There is such a strong, almost warmth during the build up then it breaks your heart and then it has a melodic break and then it breaks your heart again. such an emotive song and sung so faultlessly.

Jeff Buckley's version is definately the best. I just never tire of listening to it, and without fail, I do get a tear in my eye. That voice is just divine, such a loss of a great talent.
May I also add that Rufus Wainwright's version also is a great version, and for me is still better than Leonard's or Nick's version. I'm a big big fan of Rufus, and even though I love his version, Jeff's version still beats his.

Has to be Jeff Buckley by a country mile. Fall Out Boy have a go at it briefly on their new album, seeing as you mention the song.

Out of those three, definitely Jeff Buckley, but you should listen to the kd lang version. Her voice just seems to really fit the song...

I'll stick with the original - I like the other versions, but Leonard Cohen gets my vote!

Think I have to Say Leonard Cohen, His voice was so sad and fragile, i loved all his songs, spec So Long Marianne and Suzanne there was raw emotion in everything he did...
