I am not turned on by humans of either gender. I don't mind going out to clubs and stuff, but I just don't look forward to a 'sex life'. It doesn't appeal to me......and FYI I don't have any traumas.

Biologically, the term "asexual" refers to organisms that can reproduce without sexual contact. What you have is a low libido, and, as has been pointed out, there is nothing wrong with that. The lifestyle that works for you is the lifestyle that is right for you. Don't let anyone tell you different.

I suppose you could be - your question brings up more questions though....
Has this been a long running thing?
Do you ever feel sexually aroused/do you masturbate?
Have you ever felt sexually attracted to someone else.

Asexuality is a thorny subject....I myself have what would be considered a low sex drive and have gone long periods of time without needing or wanting sex but I would not consider myself asexual - just not desperate to jup into bed with anyone I get the oppertunity too.

In any case, stop worrying about it. You are what you are and as long as you are comfortable with it, there is no problem.

I guess you could be. It's not typical, but I wouldn't be too upset by it. It will honestly help you steer clear from most of the difficulties that people face in life. Perhaps you will live a "purer" life, and be happier. If I didn't love women I'd probably a lot less distracted and directed. Maybe that's the way to go :-)

i have a friend like that. He simply is not interested in sex or relationships.

Honestly, I don't think there is anything wrong with it because happiness can be derived from a lot else. You do not need a relationship to attain acceptance or happiness.

If, later on, you find someone with whom you wanna have a relationship that includes sex, that's cool. If not, that's cool, too.

maybe you are, perhaps due to hormonal imbalances. most people go through this at some point in thier lives. give it a little time and keep your mind open, but don't do anything just to do it, make sure you are comfortable with sex before you choose to have it.

It sounds like it. I can't really say for sure, since I don't really know you're situation, but you may just be focused on other things for right now. It may not even be permanent.
