Absolutely! One does not have anything to do with the other. Orajel is topical benzocaine and does not really travel throught the blood stream like the Tylenol does.
Since the Tylenol takes at least 30 minutes to start working, her mouth will be throbbing for all that time. At least the Orajel will give her mouth a short break while the Tylenol has time to work.
As with any pain, once it's out of control, it's really hard to get it back in check.
What works best for my baby (6 months old) is I give him his Tylenol dose, then spread the Orajel in his mouth and pop his paci in or give him a teething ring. Usually makes him feel better pretty quickly.
Also, try wetting a clean wash cloth, wring it out and leave twisted and put it in the freezer. When it's frozen give it to her to knaw on! She will probably love it!
Good luck to you!

No, oragel is a topical anesthetic, it won't go into her system.
However, I don't think that Tylenol will help with the cold. Also, a lot of times when they are teething, they get cold symptoms (runny nose, low-grade fever). Tylenol will help with her teething pain though.

this is normal to have a runny nose and drooling a lot with teething. so if you give her some Tylenol for pains is helping her better. but you can ask your nurse, and they always have good answers. If I want to do this I'll wait between two different medicine.
This is very hard on some kids. be patient.

If you are ever in doubt, read the label. Where it says active ingredients. If both items have the same ingredient, you can't give both. If the ingredients are different, you can give both at the same time. Like Motrin and Tylenol, they can be given together.

There is no need to wait, you can give both. We do this at this hospital I work at and I do it at home for my 8 month old. Good luck!
