Worst -- The movie A.I. (Artificial Intelligence). Overall, it was a fine film... right up until the last 1/2 hour. If you haven't seen it I won't spoil it but... it definitely ruined the movie.
Best -- The Usual Suspects. I don't think anyone saw that ending coming. Long live Kevin Spacey.

Worst - The Family Man with Nicholas Cage in 2000.
It was a good film up until that stupid, happily-ever-after ending in which they both end up wealthy and in love. If they were meant for each other, they would have tried to contact each other some time during the 12 years they were seperated. It made me mad!
Best? Probably not a very original choice on my part but I'll go for Casablanca because the ending was always going to be difficult to resolve yet they did a great job of it and the viewer is left satisfied. It is also humorous. Yes - Casablanca.

Best: this is difficult i have seen a lot of good film endings but i would probably say The Fast And The Furious because i love the way Brian gave Dom the Keys to his car to help him get away and besides he did owe him a 10 second car!.
Worst: for me it has to be The Brids i was so disapointed when i saw that film, because i remember it was on tv late one night i was about 11 maybe 12 i really wanted to go to bed as i was so tired, but i had got into the film and had to see the end because it was such a mystery as to why the birds were attcking people just because that meline girl had gone to this island with these to love birds, i just had to see how it ended and how it was explined why, but it never was they just drove away in the car running away from all the birds and the birds just sat and watched them leave. has to be the worst ending i have ever seen in my life.

The Graduate is an excellent movie but I absolutely HATE the ending.
If I were in charge there would be a special corner in hell for film makers who change the ending to the book. Bridge on the River Kwai is the first one which comes to mind. I still cannot believe someone of the caliber of David Lean could do such a thing.

Worst ending ever was "Magnolia" which featured Tom Cruise as a preacher and ended with a load of frogs falling from the sky. The best ending has to be any of the "Lassie" movies.

Best - American Beauty (Kevin Spacey and Annette Benning played those roles to the T!)
Worst - The Squid and the Whale (the entire movie was good...but the ending was really flat), IMHO
