Sharing means giving a part of what you already have. The ability to give to others, to sacrifice a part of what you have, shows that you care about the happiness or wellbeing of another. If I give you some of my favorite chocolates, it diminishes the amount that I can enjoy, but increases your enjoyment. If we are both hungry, and I give you half of my food, it decreases my satisfaction, but increases yours.

Thus, sharing means caring.

it implies that you care so much you wouldn't mind sharing something with someone even if you want that something all for yourself.
not necessarily the case, but it does indeed have some truth in it.....you wouldn't share something with someone you didn't care about would you?
